INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 25, 2015)— The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is searching for suspects after two people were shot on Indianapolis’ east side Monday evening.

Police said they received multiple calls about shots fired in the 3500 block of Forest Manor Avenue just before 5 p.m. When they arrived to the scene, they located a white SUV that had crashed into the steps of a house. Inside the vehicle, police found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

The male driver suffered wounds to the neck and a possible graze wound to the head. He was transported to Eskenazi Health in serious condition. The female passenger was transported to Methodist Hospital in critical condition after suffering a gunshot wound to her side. Her condition was later upgraded to serious.

IMPD officers are searching for a dark gray Chevy Impala in connection with the shootings. They said they believe the driver and passenger of the Impala fired shots into the white SUV, injuring the victims.
