NEW BERLIN, Ill. (April 6, 2015) – When it comes to engagement announcements, the woman’s name typically goes first, but bucking tradition means this wedding will be fit for a Burger King.
An Illinois couple decided to have it their way, and the result is getting national attention. Joel Burger is set to marry Ashley King is July, reports WGN. That’s right—it’s the Burger-King wedding.
The New Berlin, Ill., couple knew each other in high school but didn’t start dating until college. They told WGN they embraced jokes about their “Whopper” of a name.
According to the State Journal-Register, Burger King will pay for their wedding.
